I took what was supposed to be a bike tour today, but our tour guide decided that he felt more like walking, so we spent 3 hours listening to our slow-speaking guide explain in rambling detail about the sights of the area while we walked to 3 locations in town. After the research into RSS I did for my Kurzprojekt, I finally subscribed to my first online magazine. It’s really cool to get a new article twice a day on the design stuff I love, and I’m hoping it will keep my designs energized for some time to come.

On Tuesday I went with the other Americans to get bikes from the Rotary Club guys here. Although I already have a bike, I got a sweet bag commemorating Dessau and the Bauhaus! Perfect for carrying groceries home precariously balanced on aforementioned bike’s handlebars. (more…)
“Der König und ich” was well done. I gather that the guy who played the King is famous for the part here in Germany. It was pretty cool to see it performed in German. Since I saw the movie in English a long time ago, I understood most of what they were saying, although most of the side plot with the two secret lovers kind of escaped me, (more…)
