Since the landlord is evidently hoping to wrap up the navigational system project that we have going on in a hope to make sense of our poor chaotic parking lot courtyard by the end of the year, I guess we are trying to come to the end of the project. Yesterday I spent a good bit of the day wandering through the university quarter of Cologne, in search of Starbase 8, a “science fiction fan store” in hopes of finding out about some kind of nerd club where I could meet other people. The store was pretty awesome, (more…)

I went to see Harry Potter 7 part 1 last night, which I was excited about even though I knew it would not be all that awesome. I was rather disappointed that despite being promised by my coworkers that there would be lots of people dressed up, I only saw a handful of people with Harry Potter glasses and scars much less anything serious. Recently I downloaded some 3D software to have another project in my after-work time. I’ve been playing around with it, getting the hang of the controls again, since I haven’t done anything with 3D since the spring. Especially difficult is that I no longer have a 30″ monitor on a Quad-Core Mac Pro like at school! Here are some (more…)
