Holidays by Preference

So with Thanksgiving coming up, I’ve been doing some thinking in good Unitarian fashion as to what holidays I would like to celebrate – which ones would I find personally meaningful, without relation to what the population at large celebrates? Monkeying Around

Last month I did a photo shoot of a friend’s two kids to capture their monkeying around for her holiday cards. After establishing where they would feel most comfortable, we went out on a nice warm sunny afternoon to Highland Park and the kids proceeded to show me their favorite climbing trees. Keeping up with two kids climbing trees in order to take their portraits is hard work! (more…)

Parsley Lemon Tilapia

I decided to take a stab at food photography. This is a nice easy little recipe which is not too expensive what with the packages of frozen tilapia available at Wegmans. It’s not too sensitive a recipe either, just get the fish cooked right and the flour mixed in well. The tilapia topping has a sort of warm-but-fresh taste suitable for any time of year and is very easy to make quickly. (more…)
