Death Takes A Holiday Rehearsals

This is long overdue, but considering I’ve gone through about 500 photos (which is a lot for me), once I got them all selected and processed and up to Facebook, I didn’t feel much like going through them again to pick out a few select photos for my blog. Finally got over that though!

You can see the full galleries from the rehearsals I photographed here:

Thanks again to Michael Rehbaum on the use of his lenses on 1/19 – an EF24-70mm f/2.8L USM and an EF70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM using his 5D Mark II body. They are unbelievably awesome. I’m scheming to figure out how I can get a 24-70mm myself, and work up to that crazy 70-200.

Here are some of my favorites from the two rehearsals.

I had a lot of fun photographing these, as it’s really like looking through a telescope and snapping instants of human connection and expression of character and emotion. It was fascinating to look through the full sets and see people evolve (or stay the same) even just across one practice. I love the way that some good editing of the photos brings sparkle to the rehearsal.

Don’t forget that you can get updates from FirstLight Players directly at their Facebook page.
