I returned to Rochester for two days (“I’ll be here two days… / Then I will be gone…”) for a reunion with good friends, a visit with the photo group, yarn adventures with Marissa, a sugar maple festival, a church service, and two showings of FirstLight Players‘ Death Takes A Holiday. It was a whirlwind trip but very excellent and much needed now that I’ve been away for two months.
I did get in in time for dinner and the Friday night opening of (more…)
This is long overdue, but considering I’ve gone through about 500 photos (which is a lot for me), once I got them all selected and processed and up to Facebook, I didn’t feel much like going through them again to pick out a few select photos for my blog. Finally got over that though!
You can see the full galleries from the rehearsals (more…)
In moving to Blacksburg, I’ve unfortunately left behind the musical, “Death Takes A Holiday,” that First Unitarian has been working on. They’ve given me some good creative freedom in creating imagery for the show, so I took advantage of that to create what I hope might be something iconic for their production.

I’ve been on the team for the local production of the musical “Death Takes A Holiday” at First Unitarian in Rochester, and I’ve been going pretty much all out on their publicity designs. The RPG this week was cancelled, so no news on that front. Things have been kind of quiet at work getting ready for Christmas and working on my designs for TEAMGOLD. So instead of fight scenes, this week you get to hear my thoughts on English comic opera. (more…)
Monday 3pm. First phone interview in the process of finding a German praktikum. *daumen drucken*
I’ve been making steady progress on redoing my Flash site and also the HTML portfolio as requested (more…)
Ahh… first quarter of senior year over. Break is a good feeling.
My family came up with the dog on Saturday afternoon, and we went to John’s Tex-Mex on South Ave, which was quite tasty, and then to Gilbert & Sullivan’s Trial By Jury by the Off-Monroe Players. (more…)
My Haydn + Mozart paper was graded over the weekend – not bad by my standards and far better than I expected, considering how hard I found to write it. :) In class Dr. Ruhling went over “Idomeneo,” the opera I watched last week, and now I know a little better what to watch for and try to enjoy. Listening to the G&S operetta (more…)
