Robin Hobb

I recently finished the Liveship Traders series by Robin Hobb. I read the two trilogies about FitzChivalry before I went to Germany and found them really great. The writing style is rich, with big words I haven’t seen before (and I have a good vocabulary), descriptive without being flowery. The plot moves along at a good, epic story (more…)


Now that ImagineRIT is over, I have time again to update my blog about these sorts of things. I spent most of Friday rendering nice designs for the kiosk (we had to cut down the graphics for the live version, and the projectors mutilated the video quality) and working on info posters for the room. Fox’s treatment of Joss Whedon is continuing to astound their audience, I think. Or at least greatly disappoint his fans. Dollhouse has evidently been cancelled after a month off the air. Upon its return on Dec. 5, Fox is now hurrying through all their episodes, apparently showing two each Friday night until mid January. Apparently (more…)
